It all started in 2017 when chef Maehira opened his first tempura restaurant (a classic Japanese dish of crispy delicacies deep-fried in batter) in Tokyo. The chef soon received a Michelin star. In 2021, he brought the concept to Shenzhen, China in a second restaurant, to the great delight of Chinese gourmet lovers. The wines and sakes accompanying Maehira’s delicious tempura arrived at the table in Lobmeyr’s Ballerina series of drinkware. The finely balanced goblet shapes of Ballerina harmonise perfectly with the most precious whites, reds, and champagnes and the glasses are also ideal for tasting sake, especially ones of a higher quality!
