From the 1930s into the 1950s, Philips and Lobmeyr partnered to combine the latest lighting technologies with beautifully aesthetic chandelier designs. Lobmeyr often designed and built prototypes that included the latest innovations of the famous electronics company from Eindhoven. The 1934 chandeliers in the ORF broadcasting centre are experimental examples of festive lighting that used cutting-edge technology, catered to the tastes of the era, and still exudes tremendous charm today.
