These items mark a milestone in the cooperation with Josef Hoffmann.
The archaic yet precisely cut piece is a great challenge for our craftsmen. The original drawing included four polished round feet. The only possibility would have been to glue them, a technique to be avoided – that’s why they were crossed out in Hoffmann’s drawing.
